asbestos
Asbestos can be found in all types of building materials and is one of the most highly regulated environmental contaminants. We are a full service asbestos consulting firm, providing you with air and bulk sampling services necessary to ensure a safe environment, apply for permits, comply with and navigate complex regulations, or to manage your asbestos in place in the safest way possible.
Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
Often required for financing during real estate transactions, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments can protect you and your financiers from the liabilities associated with environmental contamination at a property, prior to its acquisition. Viva EHS performs full, extensive, environmental assessments to ensure that you never have buyer’s remorse.
Respiratory Protection Programs
A respiratory protection program is a complex plan required by OSHA any time respirators are being used by employees. The program involves determining who is required to have respiratory protection, what type of respiratory protection is required, respiratory training and use, how to care for and clean a respiratory, respirator fit testing, medical evaluations, and air monitoring for airborne contaminants. Indoor Air Quality
In the past few years, much more attention has finally been given to the importance of maintaining adequate Indoor Air Quality within commercial office space, schools, industrial spaces, hospitals, institutional learning facilities, and the home. We provide full Indoor Air Quality surveys to determine if your space is being properly ventilated, if it is within the recommended comfort zone for occupants, that there is no fungal or mold growth present, and that no harmful volatizing chemicals are within the air.
lead
Lead is one of the most persistent environmental contaminants and can be found in the home, schools, commercial and industrial spaces, and in soil. Identifying lead-based paint and lead-containing dust are the first steps in controlling the hazard of lead exposure. Along with identifying the lead, we perform surface and airborne testing to locate potential exposure pathways. Luckily, there are prescribed methods of controlling lead hazards to protect occupants and workers from dangerous exposures to lead.
water testing
Water is our most precious natural resource. Unfortunately, it can become contaminated by heavy metals, bacteria such as Legionella and E. Coli, volatile organic compounds, and many other chemicals of concern. Viva EHS performs potable and non-potable water testing for any contaminant.
Noise Monitoring and Hearing Conservation Programs
Many industrial and commercial processes create large amounts of noise without us even noticing. Hearing conservation programs are required by OSHA any time employees are exposed to excessive levels of noise. Viva EHS can perform the required noise monitoring to determine your employees exposure to noise and design a site-specific hearing conservation program for your needs.
mold (Fungi) and bacteria
Mold and bacteria are everywhere in the natural environment, but given the right circumstances (the presence of moisture and a food source) their numbers can expand to levels that can be dangerous for certain occupants. We perform the fungal or bacterial testing needed to determine whether there is a problem and we give the necessary recommendations to fix the problem. If there is a mold or moisture issue in your residential or commercial space, we will find it!
silica
In 2016, OSHA issued the most protective Silica standard to date, estimated to save hundreds of lives from dangerous exposures to Silica-containing dust. Viva EHS offers OSHA-required Silica exposure monitoring, along with the required awareness and competent person training for any type of job site.

We now offer Job Site Screening for symptoms of Coronavirus (COVID-19). Screening for sickness and fever should be performed at any job site where individuals may come in contact with other people and could potentially spread the COVID-19 virus. Our highly trained industrial hygienists will screen all persons entering a site for symptoms of Coronavirus and fever, by collecting touchless body temperature measurements.
